Hey everyone!! Yeah... its been forever since I've been on here.... sorry I got a myspace and its like yeah... and been hangin out alot with James and been going places...working to get my lisence... PRAY FOR ME!! lol.... I failed friday... I've got 3 more chances... Today theres no school... James is gone for a week working like 2 hours away and they are like 14 hour days or something so they are just staying in a hotel but hes coming back on Wednesday (MY BIRTHDAY!!) and hes going to give me my birthday present!! Can't wait!! And we might go out to dinner. So yeah im really excited. Katie's bringing my birthday present over here today for me. LoL... its a kids toy but I've always wanted one and she got me one!! I dont know what they are called... they are like these magnetic things and you use this pen looking thing to write on it and its awesome.. lol. Last night was pretty amazing. James took me to my favorite resturant 'Outback'. I love that place!! Then we went to Menards lol cuz he had to get estimations on his job for this guy. Then we went to Family Video and rented Robin Hood the one with Kevin Costner. It was actually a very good movie. Kinda gross but yet it was a good movie. Theres this one part when this king is marrying this queen but she doesnt want to marry him and Robin Hood is trying to stop it so the king is like trying to get the pastor to hurry up and the pastor says to the queen "Do you take this man to be your husband" and she starts to say no but the guy covers her mouth and says "Of course she does" and it was just really funny. I guess you'll have to go watch it. Anyways, James was like "Im gunna do that at our wedding!" I just laughed I found that pretty hilarous. And I was crying cuz James kept saying sweet stuff to me and then at the end of the movie....theres a love song playing and he made me stand up and dance to it while he was singing it to me.... it was so sweet. I love him!! Every day he finds another new way to amaze me!! I love you hunny!! Well....thats it for now... oh and wednesday at school we are taking the preschoolers to Mini Golf like up by Sandusky!! So I get to go do mini golfing for my birthday!! HaHa!! Well love ya'll!! Vickie J. Weiker 53, 518 Gormley St., Fostoria, died 9:15 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006, at her home.
Vickie was born May 23, 1953 in Fostoria to the late James W. and Inez I. (Grine) Miller Sr. She married David J. Weiker May 4, 1991 in Fostoria, and he survives in Fostoria.
Also surviving are three children; Frank J. (Lisa) Miller, Fostoria, Selena S. (Robert) Rodabaugh, Mt. Blanchard and Tyler D. Weiker, Fostoria; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Diane S. (Joe) Clagg, Fostoria, Brenda G. (Ronald) Wright, Fostoria and Julia L. (Dana) Killam MD, North Fort Myers, Fla; and a brother, James W. Miller Jr., Wichita, Kansas.
Vickie had worked as a custodian for Fostoria Community Schools more than 24 years. She also was a member of the Fostoria Eagles Club.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, at Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria. Visitation will take place one hour before the memorial service at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to Bridge Hospice, the American Cancer Society or the family c/o Mann-Hare Funeral Home 407 N. Countyline St., Fostoria, Ohio 44830.

I knew her because she was the custodian at my elementary school when I lived in Fostoria. Plus I was close with her family. It was pretty sad. I didn't think I would cry. I bawled........ I saw alot of my teachers from elementary school. That was really weird. They all look the same. I saw a couple of my friends that I went to Field with. My cat Misty had kittens last night and shes still going.... there were 2 when my parents left for work this morning.... there was 4 when I left for the funeral and when I got back there was another one. I think shes still got a few left. But Im not sure. Im really proud of myself b/c my grades are awesome on my interm report. Im doing so good at VCC. Everything's turning around for me. Im so happy right now with everything. Me and James are doing really well. I bought hair dye today. It soon will be completely BLACK!! I can't wait!! Me and James had an *awesome* conversation the other night. I was crying and yeah it was just amazing. HE IS SO AMAZING!! well I am gunna go.... anyone who wants to hang out sometime gimme a call... Well the deal is im not going to Homecoming. We may go to the game tomorrow (well today cuz its like 1:00) but yeah I cant go to the dance because I never got that paper from Tina.... and plus I never got an outfit. So to all of you who are going have a great time.... Homecoming is really fun. Sorry I have to miss it. If I had the paper I could've gone b/c James was going to take me to get my dress. But since I never got it.... I have to miss out. I could've had another date but I would NEVER do that. I would ONLY go with James. Well dont got anything else to say. I wont be at Lakota tomorrow....its retarded to go so Im not gunna go..... Im not going to school at all actually. Well ttyl.

Drivers Ed sucked tonight! If you ever go to Cruisin' 2 Driving School or maybe they show it at any driving school but if they say your going to watch "Tragedy and Hope" LEAVE THE ROOM!!!! ESPECIALLY IF YOU'VE LOST SOMEONE CLOSE TO YOU IN A TRAGIC VEHICLE ACCIDENT!! I walked right out of there bawling my eyes out..... I know of one person for sure that would bawl their eyes out.... they aren't my friend anymore but shes pretty heartbroken by things like that.... TAKE MY ADVICE ON THIS ONE GUYS!!! Yeah I know its been forever since I've updated....sorry....computer's been fucked up.... anywho..................

Some things that have happened:

On 9/11.. it not only was the 5th anniversary of the 9/11/01 attacks but my best dog in the whole wide world Casey "Bubbas" died. He was my baby boy!! I have cried every night looking at his pictures....hes not suffering anymore though... I love you Bubbas!! 9/11 was also my nephew Owen's 4th birthday. It was also my first day of Drivers Ed.

On the 12th....it was the first day of preschool. It went really well and I like it alot.

The 13th was my 'brother' Jeff's 38th birthday.

The 14th was me and James' 6 month 1 week anniversary.

Me and James decided to go to the football against Libbey I think it was and we beat them pretty good but who cares its fuckin Lakota for christ sake!! And it was a really good time. Saw some people I really wanted to see... saw some people that made me wanna puke!

And on the 15th we didn't have school cuz Lakota was cancelled.... so me, James, and Cynthia went shopping at the mall and that was soo much fun. We went to JC Penney's first cuz I was looking for a HC dress.....found a couple I really liked.... but now im not sure if I still wanna go.... I think I have better things to do than spend time at a lame ass dance seeing people I dont really care for anymore.... I've let all my friends go..... sorry.... and then we went to a few stores Cynthia wanted to go to....then the fun stores....we found me and James 'HC outfits' at HOT TOPIC!!!! They are awesome and I think we would be the hottest people there but we arent gunna go now so..... ehh..... oh well....... and then we had SOOO much fun at Spencer's!! GOTTA LOVE THAT STORE!!! Then we left and ate at McDonald's and went home.

Tomorrow is picture day at VCC. Can't wait. My sister got her senior pics DVD thingy and they are soo good!! I wanted to cry!! Shes so pretty!! Luv ya sis!! Well I guess thats it for awhile.....

On April 16, 1971 a beautiful baby girl named Selena was born. She would later become a vivacious gorgeous singer whose popularity was as big as the universe but first she had to grow up. She was the last of 3 children. Her parents are Marcella Quintanilla and Abraham Quintañilla, Jr., there other children are A.B. Quintañilla, III and Suzette Quintañilla.At age 6 Selena was watching her father teaching her brother how to play the bass guitar. Selena feeling a little jealous picked up a song book and started singing. Her dad immediately saw her talent and potential saying her pitch and timing was perfect. This for a 6 year old is amazing. So he formed the new generation of Los Dinos. He had been a singer in the 50's and 60's with the Dinos and borrowed the name.Her parents bought a house and her dad was working for Dow chemical. When he decided to open his own restaurant Selena y Los Dinos got to perfect their technique in the restaurant, Papagallos.

Unfortunately the restaurant was closed and Los Dinos became the families new business. Suzette was at first not an official member one of their cousins was the drummer but when he had to return to Washington she took over.Selena y Los Dinos started to play whenever and wherever they could. After loosing the restaurant her parents tried to get normal jobs but soon found that Selena y Los Dinos was their best bet on keeping food on the table. Selena's father had experienced what happens when a 'Mexican' tries to sing in English so he started teaching Selena how to sing songs in Spanish phonetically.The Quintañilla family struggled but their hard work paid off. When Selena was 15 she won her first Tejano Music Award. The TMA's are like the Grammy's for Tejano music. Selena recorded several albums for a local label, songs in both English and Spanish. Her brother started to write and produce her songs also.Slowly but surly Los Dinos became successful. After being names Female Vocalist of the Year and Entertainer of the year several times in 1989 after the TMA's Jose Behar talked Selena's father into signing with the new label EMI Latin. Selena Y Los Dinos were their first group.

Selena was already a star in the local Tejano market but now she was on her way to becoming an international star."Selena" was released in 1989. It was a pivotal album for the group. AB produced it. That was a challenge for him and a fight for Selena and her father. The label wanted a professional producer, someone with experience, but Selena and her father convinced EMI to give him a chance. All the risks that Selena Y Los Dinos took seemed to pay off. The next album in 1990 was Ven Conmigo. It was the first Tejano record to go Gold and had some great songs that would become the ground breaking sound for Los Dinos. Baila Esta Cumbia was the song that started Selena's pop Cumbia sound. It was #1 in some places in Texas & Mexico and got her a lot of attention.At the TMA's that year and the following years Selena again won Female Vocalist and Performer of the year.

In 1991 Selena recorded a duet with Alvero Torres called Buenos Amigos. It was her first #1 on the billboard charts. It also got her attention in Mexico. Many of his fans became Selena fans. Her vocals were beautiful and she took over the song.In late 1991 a woman approached Mr. Q about organizing an official fan club for Selena. She was persistent and Mr. Q thought it was a good idea. Selena was very popular and needed her own fan club. She also started to fall in love. Chris Perez was the guitarist in the band and caught her attention. They dated for several months and on April 2, 1992 got married. Selena's father was not so happy at first but soon grew to love his new son-in-law. Also that year Entre A Mi Mundo was released. This was their best album ever. Selena's first # 1 song was on it; Como La Flor. Although she had an previous #1 the year before this one was all on her own. Her first video was made for the song Carcacha. This album also was gold and because of the success in early 1993 EMI decided to record her live and release it.

So in late 1993 Selena live was released. It had 3 new songs but more importantly got the attention of the Grammy people. She was nominated for the first time for Best Mexican-American album. 1993 was considered her break through year, she also recorded another duet with a group called the Barrio Boyzz. They were also signed with EMI Latin but they were a pop group and Selena was considered Tejano. They each gave the other more territory in the US. Even though Selena had already recorded many pop songs this one showed her flexibility as a singer. Oh, it was also a #1 for her. The other songs on the live album were up high on the charts too.Though she was busy touring and making videos and accepting awards she had time to design her own fashion line.

In January of 1994 she opened her first boutique, Selena Ect.Then in February of that year she went to the Grammy's and accepted the award for Selena Live. She was on fire. She opened another boutique then finished her next album, Amor Prohibido that made her a supper star also; she was on a Novela (soap opera) called Dos mujeres, un camino. She was happy, she was married, had a successful album, great family, and doing well with obtaining her dreams. In late 1994 she was nominated again for a Grammy. She recorded a song called a boy like that for a charity album to raise money for the Grammys.

In early 1995 problems started to make Selena not so happy. Her fan club president was now the manager of her boutiques. She and the designer Selena had hired to help her were always fighting. Selena bought out her designer Martin Gomez's contract. She was trying to go forward with her fashion and music. She was recording a new album in English, and trying to open a factory in Mexico. She was also planning to open 2 more boutiques there also. On top of all this she was also going to record another album in Spanish for her Latin fans and wanted to have her own perfume and makeup line. At the Grammy awards that year she unfortunately did not win, But she was just happy to be there.In February for the first time in 10 years she did not performe at the Tejano Music awards. But she sweepted the awards. There was one award that she was nominated for and won but when the award was given out, they mistakenly announced another singer (Shelly Lares) as the winner and when they realized she was the winner she felt so bad for her friend that she cried and refused to accept the award. She later did go on stage to accept it because they taped the broadcast, but she still felt really bad for her friend Shelly.Later that month she went to the Houston Astrodome for the 3 year in a row and set another record for attendance!

She was on fire and seemed unstopable until March 31, 1995. This will remain one of the most shocking moments in music history not only in the latin market but in any genre because she was taken by someone who she had trusted.She was shot in the back by her fan club president/boutique manager. She ran from the room of the Day's Inn to the lobby to get help but it was too late. Our Tejano rose was silenced forever.Her dreams, ambitions, hopes and plans were all gone. She was gone not realizing the impact she has already made on the world and never getting to see the one her death would make.In 23 short years Selena's life was packed with amazing feats. She became the Queen of Tejano Music, opened it up for other women, was a great role model, opened 2 boutiques and designed her own line of cloths. She won a Grammy, broke attendance records as well as sales records and still remained down to earth and sweet.

She was a wife, sister and daughter and an Icon to thousands.In death Selena's dream of a crossover album became a reality, That she can only see from heaven. She won so many awards after she passed that it seemed like she was just on vacation. Her family, friends and fans all mourned her passing that a great deal of attention was given to her, so much so that people had a hard time understanding what was really going on. Why she was so popular. So to answer this and to satisfy the hunger to know more about Selena her father helped produce a movie of her life. Selena continues to inspire people in many different ways. Sometimes we forget that she isn't here because her presence is still so strong. But then we remember again...

Shelly Lares (another Tejano singer) once sang backup for Selena Shelly invited Selena to a rehearsal in 1988 and was introduced to Chris
Shelly was approached by YS before Selena about starting a fan club Selena's favorite food was double pepperoni thin-crusted Pizza Selena told Chris she loved him in 1991 at a Pizza Hut in the Rio Grande Valley Selena and Chris were married on April 2, 1992 Selena wanted 5 children "Ven Conmigo" was the first Tejano album to go Gold Selena won a Grammy for her 1993 album "Live" Selena was nominated for another Grammy in 1995 for her 1994 album "Amor Prohibido" also her last completed album, English or Spanish Selena performed 3 consecutive years in a row at the Houston Astrodome, each time breaking attendance records! Selena bought the house that her and her family had lived in and after getting married bought and lived in the house next door until her death Selena's brother lived in the house on the opposite side of her parent's house Selena and Chris were planning on moving to another house on the outskirts of town, 10 archers with a lake view, Selena had already picked out the furniture, and the house was completed in August of 1995 Selena's favorite flowers were white long-stemmed roses Selena had a Porsche Carera, a motorcycle, a Ninja Kawasaki She had a BMW but it was stolen and dumped into the sea so she replaced it with a Porsche with the encouragement of Chris
Selena once went Bungee jumping on a dare Selena never refused to sign an autograph The designer that was helping Selena was Martin Gomez Once a fan offered to give Selena a ranch! Selena was named Lantin Artist of the Decade for the 90's Selena was laid to rest at Seaside Memorial Park on April 3, 1995 Selena collected Faberge Eggs Univision has shown a few specials about Selena, each time she sets viewing records Selena sadly left this world on Friday March 31, 1995. She was 23 at the time. Only days away from her 3rd wedding anniversary and 2 weeks from her 24th birthday. So many people loved Selena they lined up for about 1 mile to say goodbye for the last time. About 50,000 people passed by her at Bayfront Plaza Convention Center. Surrounding her were 50,000 white long stem roses. In her hands was one red rose. A rumor started that Selena was not really dead and the casket was empty so the family had it opened so people could see she really was gone. Mr. Q said they dressed Selena in her 1995 TMA outfit because it was her last triumph. It was her favorite outfit at the time. All the people who attended the funeral placed single white long stem roses on her casket, because white roses are her favorite. She was to have a concert the day after her death, in LA, Ca and they held a mass in her honor. She was laid to rest on April 3, 1995 the day after her 3rd wedding anniversary, Many of her musical peers attended her funeral along with her family and close friends. Selena now rests peacefully in Seaside Memorial Park. She is visited daily by devoted fans and always has fresh flowers The first set of pictures are from her funreral... I put all of this on here because "Selena" is my all time favorite movie...she was a beautiful singer...and a very pretty woman.... She definetly is missed from everything I read on her websites..
